To many connoisseurs, abalone is the ultimate gourmet experience. These delicate marine snails are revered around the world for their unique taste and texture. Among discerning diners, Dalian is known for its high quality abalones and those from Zhangzi Island are considered top of the range.
To delight gourmets at Galaxy Macau, our chefs have chosen precious abalones which grow wild in the deep waters of Zhangzi Island and are known as "Pearls of the Yellow Sea". So precious are these abalones that each comes with a unique production identity, which certifies its origin and quality, and because they can be harvested only during certain months of the year, their rarity is enhanced.
Since the abalones grow wild in deep waters, the texture of the meat is particularly dense and satisfying, which makes them excellent ingredients for the delicious seafood dishes.
Sea urchins are a group of marine animals which get their name from the Greek and literally means "spiny skin". They live exclusively in the salty waters of the sea and are found in virtually every ocean around the world.
Sea urchins from Haiyangdao, an island close to North Korea which is accessible only to a few privileged fishermen, are particularly sought-after because the water there is exceptionally clean and clear. In turn, these sea urchins are extraordinarily large, creamy and sweet.
Sea cucumbers of Haiyangdao are rare gems which can only be harvested during certain months every year. Haiyangdao is a remote island close to North Korea with ideal conditions for these precious delicacies of the sea to thrive. Imported live, these spiky sea cucumbers are highly nutritious and have a wonderful freshness and a crunchy-soft texture.
